Venus is named after the roman goddess of love and beauty. It is the hottest planet in the solar system due to greenhouse gasses trapped in it's atmosphere.

Fun Fact: Venus can be visible to the naked eye, without needing a telescope. It is the second brightest object in Earth's night sky after the moon.
